Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman has been a gymnast in the U.S. for more than ten decades. She was a member and was captain for the US Olympic Women's Gymnastics Team Final Five (2012) as well as the Final Five (2016). In the 2012 Olympics she won gold on both the team floor and the individual events. The bronze was won through her balance bar. She became the only American to be awarded many Olympic medals. Her gold medal during the Olympics in 2016 marked the second consecutive gold medal for the American team. This made her, along with teammates Gabby and Gabby the first Americans - to achieve this achievement. Silver medals were awarded in the floor individual and all-around events. In between the two Olympics she took an absence from competitive gymnastics for three years. Also, she was a one of the gold medal winning American teams at the two World Championships. She began her gymnastics training at the age of 2 and enjoys exercises on the floor. Aly is a member of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization in memory of her grandmother who was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. She is planning to pursue an occupation in fashion and is looking to increase her line of signature leotards as well as socks in the future. She is writing a book titled Fierce which will come out later this year.
